We are glad to share that Modern Micro Endodontics has opened its ninth New Jersey office at 617 E. Palisades Ave, Suite 3, in Englewood Cliffs. This new office brings our specialty endodontic care into Bergen County, and it means shorter waits for patients and referring dentists who need prompt, focused treatment. If you have been told you need a root canal, or you are living with tooth pain right now, help is closer than before.
The office opened following a transition of ownership from longtime Englewood Cliffs endodontist Dr. Anthony Fasciano, DMD, who chose us as his successor. We understand that a change of dentist can feel uncertain, especially when you have trusted the same team for years. That is why we have kept the same address, the same familiar staff, and the same commitment to gentle, careful care. Below, we walk you through what this transition means, who will care for you, and the technology we bring to every visit.
A Smooth Transition You Can Count On
Dr. Fasciano led the Englewood Cliffs practice for many years, and he announced this transition in a letter to the dental community. We know how much trust patients place in their endodontist, so we have worked to make this handoff feel natural rather than disruptive. Dr. Fasciano will remain with the office for a period of time to support the change, and the longtime staff members you already know will continue in their roles.
Nothing about your care has to change for the worse. The office stays at the same location on E. Palisades Ave, and our hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. We also offer same-day treatment for dental emergencies, so if you wake up in pain, you do not have to wait days for relief. Please don't hesitate to call when something feels wrong.
Meet Your Englewood Cliffs Doctors
You deserve to know exactly who will be treating you. Your care in Englewood Cliffs comes from two experienced endodontists who focus only on saving teeth. Both were named New Jersey Monthly Top Dentists in 2026, and their backgrounds reflect years of dedicated study and hands-on practice.
Dr. Vivian Graham, DDS, founded Modern Micro Endodontics and continues to lead the practice. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and completed her endodontic residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Graham has been recognized as a New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist for 14 consecutive years. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, and the New Jersey Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Graham is joined by Dr. Tara Mahpour, DMD, who received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, followed by a post-doctoral endodontics residency at Rutgers. Her clinical research examined healing rates and prognostic factors following apicoectomy, a type of endodontic surgery. Together, these two doctors bring both depth of training and a warm, patient-first approach to every appointment.
Advanced Technology and Comprehensive Services
We understand that endodontic treatment can feel intimidating, and much of that worry comes from not knowing what will happen. Because our practice is dedicated only to endodontics, each office is equipped for detailed diagnosis and precise, comfortable treatment. That focus lets us invest in tools that make your care faster, safer, and more predictable.
Here is a look at the technology you will find in our Englewood Cliffs office:
- Surgical operating microscopes: We use magnification in every procedure so we can see the fine details inside your tooth and treat them accurately.
- Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT): This advanced 3D imaging helps us diagnose complex cases and plan your treatment with precision.
- EdgePRO laser technology: This tool supports thorough cleaning and disinfection of the root canal system for better healing.
We also offer a full range of endodontic services at this location and all nine of our offices:
- Non-surgical endodontics: Care that treats infection and saves your tooth without surgery.
- Root canal therapy: The removal of infected pulp to relieve pain and preserve your natural tooth.
- Surgical endodontics: Procedures such as apicoectomy for cases that need a surgical approach.
- Treatment for cracked teeth: Careful diagnosis and repair to protect a damaged tooth.
- Traumatic dental injuries: Prompt treatment for teeth injured by accidents or impact.
- Facial esthetics: Services that support your comfort and appearance.
- Emergency treatment: Same-day care when you are in pain and need relief quickly.
Referring dentists remain central to how we work. If you are a general dentist in Bergen County, our new office is designed to shorten the time between your referral and your patient's appointment. As a trusted Englewood Cliffs endodontist, we treat every referral as a partnership built on clear communication and dependable results.
Continuing a Standard of Care You Can Trust
Opening our ninth location is about more than growth. It is about expanding access to careful endodontic care while keeping the personal experience that has always defined Modern Micro Endodontics. Our focus stays the same: relieving pain, saving natural teeth, investing in advanced technology, and building lasting partnerships with the dentists who trust us with their patients. We are grateful to Dr. Fasciano for his confidence in us, and we look forward to serving patients and referring doctors in Englewood Cliffs and the surrounding towns. Whether you are a nervous first-time patient or a dentist seeking a reliable specialist, we hope you will reach out and let us help.
Frequently Asked Questions About Endodontics
What is an endodontist, and how is one different from a general dentist?
An endodontist is a dental specialist who focuses on treating the inside of the tooth, including the pulp, nerves, and roots. After dental school, an endodontist completes an additional two to three years of training in these procedures. That extra experience gives you the best chance of a comfortable visit and a successful outcome.
Are root canals painful?
We understand that fear of pain keeps many people from getting the care they need. The truth is that a root canal relieves pain rather than causing it. With local anesthesia, the procedure feels much like getting a large filling, and most patients return to their normal activities soon after.
How do I know if I need to see an endodontist?
You may need endodontic care if you have lasting tooth pain, sensitivity to hot or cold that lingers, swelling near the gum, or a tooth that has darkened. Your general dentist may also refer you directly. If you notice any of these signs, please contact us so we can examine the tooth and explain your options.
What happens if I delay treatment?
We know life gets busy, but putting off a needed root canal can lead to bigger problems. The infection can spread to nearby teeth, bone, and gums, and in serious cases it can affect your overall health. The sooner you are treated, the more likely we can save your natural tooth.
What technology do you use to make treatment more comfortable?
Every procedure in our office uses a surgical operating microscope so we can work with precision. We also use cone-beam CT imaging for accurate diagnosis and EdgePRO laser technology for thorough cleaning. These tools help make your treatment faster, gentler, and more predictable.
At Modern Micro Endodontics, we provide specialty endodontic care to patients and referring dentists across Northern and Central New Jersey, now including our new Englewood Cliffs office in Bergen County.
