Dr vivian graham and dr tara mahpour named 2026 top new jersey dentists by new jersey monthly blog

We are proud to share some wonderful news with the patients and referring dentists we serve. New Jersey Monthly magazine has recognized Dr. Vivian Graham and Dr. Tara Mahpour as 2026 Top New Jersey Dentists. This honor reflects something we work toward every single day: clinical excellence, compassionate care, and treatment that helps you keep your natural teeth.

We understand that many people feel nervous about endodontic treatment, and recognition like this matters because it speaks to the trust we build with each patient. When you choose us, you want to know you are in skilled, caring hands. This award affirms that the experience and dedication you hope for are exactly what you will find here.

Celebrating Dr. Vivian Graham’s 14th Consecutive Recognition

For the fourteenth year in a row, Dr. Vivian Graham has been named a Top New Jersey Dentist. As the founder and lead doctor at Modern Micro Endodontics, she has built a multi-location practice centered on relieving dental pain, preserving natural teeth, and helping you feel comfortable from start to finish. Fourteen consecutive years of recognition reflect a steady commitment that patients and colleagues have come to rely on.

Dr. Graham earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2005. She then completed a General Practice Residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn and an Endodontic Residency at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. She stays current with the latest techniques and technology, and she is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the New Jersey Association of Endodontists, and the Hudson County Dental Society. As she shared, this recognition reflects the trust of colleagues and the dedication of our entire team.

Welcoming Dr. Tara Mahpour to the List for the First Time

We are equally delighted that Dr. Tara Mahpour received this recognition for the first time in 2026. Many patients arrive feeling anxious or in pain, and Dr. Mahpour brings the warmth and patience that help them feel cared for right away. Her inclusion reflects her dedication to patient-centered care and her specialized training in diagnosing and treating complex tooth pain, infection, and dental trauma.

Dr. Mahpour received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2018. During her studies, she was inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honors Society and named to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dean’s List. She completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City with a focus on endodontics, followed by a post-doctoral Endodontics Residency at Rutgers, where her clinical research explored apicoectomies, healing rates, and the factors that influence healing outcomes. Endodontics, she says, allows us to help people who are often in pain, and it is rewarding to help them feel better while saving their natural teeth.

What This Recognition Means for the Care You Receive

If you have ever delayed treatment because you felt unsure about who to trust, we want to put your mind at ease. This recognition is rooted in the everyday care we provide, and it touches every service we offer. We dedicate ourselves to relieving dental pain, treating infection, and saving your natural teeth whenever possible. That commitment shows up in our endodontic services in NJ, from your first phone call through your final follow-up visit.

Our care covers a wide range of needs. We perform root canal therapy and both non-surgical and surgical endodontics, including apicoectomy when it offers the best path to healing. We treat cracked teeth, traumatic dental injuries, and dental abscesses, and we provide emergency endodontic treatment for those urgent moments when pain cannot wait. We also offer internal bleaching to brighten teeth that have darkened over time. To support precise, comfortable treatment, we rely on advanced tools such as dental microscopes, CBCT imaging, and laser technology. We understand that comfort matters as much as precision, and we do our best to make every visit calm and reassuring.

Care You Can Trust Across New Jersey

This honor belongs to our entire team and to the patients who place their confidence in us each day. Both Dr. Graham and Dr. Mahpour share a simple goal: to provide thoughtful, precise, and compassionate endodontic care that helps you feel better and keep your natural smile. If you have felt worried about a root canal or unsure about treating a painful tooth, we hope this recognition offers you peace of mind. We are here to listen first, explain clearly, and guide you toward relief with care you can trust.

Frequently Asked Questions About Endodontic Services

What is endodontic treatment?

Endodontic treatment focuses on the inside of your tooth, where the soft pulp, nerves, and blood vessels live. When that area becomes infected or inflamed, we step in to relieve your pain and save the tooth. Root canal therapy is the most familiar example, but endodontics also includes surgical procedures and care for injured or cracked teeth.

Is a root canal painful?

We understand that many people feel anxious about root canals, often because of stories they have heard. The truth is that modern root canal therapy is designed to relieve pain, not cause it. We use gentle techniques, effective numbing, and advanced tools to keep you comfortable, and most patients feel relief soon after treatment.

How do I know if I need to see an endodontist?

If you have a toothache that lingers, sensitivity to hot or cold that does not fade, swelling near a tooth, or a tooth that was recently injured, those signs may point to a problem inside the tooth. We encourage you to reach out so we can evaluate your situation. The sooner we see you, the more options we often have to save the tooth.

Can you save a tooth that is cracked or injured?

In many cases, yes. We treat cracked teeth and traumatic dental injuries every day, and we use imaging like CBCT to understand exactly what is happening below the surface. Our goal is always to preserve your natural tooth whenever it is possible, and we will explain your options clearly so you can decide with confidence.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

If you are in severe pain, have noticeable swelling, or have injured a tooth, please contact us right away. We provide emergency endodontic treatment because we know discomfort cannot always wait. We will do our best to see you quickly, ease your pain, and protect your long-term oral health.
